Dr. Miss Elizabeth Leelavathi Manasseh
Sr. Director (Church Relations and Resource Mobilisation)
Dr. Miss E. Leelavathi Manasseh joined the BSI in the year 2007 and is the Senior Director of Church Relations and Resource Mobilisation Department. Before she joined the BSI she had served Evangelical Fellowship of India in various capacities for 29 years, and as the Director/Secretary for about 20 years.
Dr. Miss Manasseh is a B.Sc (Hons) graduate from Bangalore University. She has also secured Bachelor of Religious Education from Union Biblical Seminary and a Master of Theology (M.Th- Applied/Practical Theology) from Oxford University through The Association For Theological Education by Extension (TAFTEE, India) and Westminster College, Oxford. The International Council for Higher Education (Switzerland) conferred Doctor of Divinity on her in the year 2009 recognizing her contribution in the area of Global Leadership, Christian Education, Women Ministries and General Ministries.
Dr. Miss Manasseh served the Commission on Women’s Concerns of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) in various capacities during 1992-2015 and as its Chairperson from 2010 to 2015. Currently she is serving as a member of the WEA’s Global Task Force on Anti-Human Trafficking. She is sought after as the Global Voice on Bible/Scripture Engagement and Gender Issues/Concerns, including anti-human trafficking.
Dr. E. L. Manasseh represents the Bible Society of India in the Asia-Pacific Catholic Affinity Group of the United Bible Societies.
Miss Manasseh worships at St. Mark's Cathedral of the Church of South India, Karnataka Central Diocese.
